The holidays can have a fuller meaning when a simple gesture is transformed into real help. This year, three campaigns on Productions from Below<\/g><\/g>, Italy’s first crowdfunding<\/g> and social innovation platform, show how accessible donations can translate into opportunities for those in fragile situations <\/g>and, at the same time, secure cultural initiatives <\/g>in danger of dying out. From film training for Palestinian youth<\/strong> to psychological support for those who have suffered violence<\/strong>, to the revival of a historic literary festival<\/strong>: here are three ways to make the holidays truly supportive<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

LAND: cinema (and hope) for Palestinian students<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The first project is called Land<\/a> and is promoted by ACS ONG<\/strong> in collaboration with the Cinema In Green festival<\/a><\/strong>. The initiative includes a two-month environmental film spring school<\/g> for twelve Palestinian students aged 18 to 28, which will take place in Rome between April and May. The course will be completely free for the participants, with homestay accommodation guaranteed by Intercultura<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
