In this scenario, the bus stands as an immediate and scalable lever, capable of taking dozens of cars off the road and cutting emissions per passenger. <strong>Nicola Biscotti<\/strong>, president of ANAV &#8211; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?sca_esv=9d0ddc8342dce93e&amp;sxsrf=ANbL-n75CP3WZk5YeOpFYZ_Yzn3GH9w_zg:1775549602991&amp;q=Associazione+Nazionale+Autotrasporto+Viaggiatori&amp;si=AL3DRZELanY_V96Y0q8q1FLKlfOvH_NlT58VxGyuYFaMYKzFM64qdBlyj1dEN5R9a-uuqaiNQORQBHo6ItYeMtO4K4WNwlchAtoVD1R5wnS2Dyh7rGpsH9WdAIWaYoAgQ3OYnUaPOk4PtBJKdThtZXTu8De4MQZbIGgE7DcL2LzvkGYQ31AExgM%3D&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=2ahUKEwj-8_fapduTAxWNzgIHHb2kFKIQ_coHegQILBAB\">National Association of Traveling Carriers<\/a> -, charts the industry&#8217;s course: fleet renewal, technology neutrality, more safety and new intermodal hubs such as Fiumicino. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-il-settore-dell-autotrasporto-viaggiatori-e-al-centro-della-transizione-ecologica-quali-sono-le-strategie-principali-che-anav-sta-promuovendo-tra-i-suoi-associati-per-ridurre-l-impatto-ambientale-e-favorire-una-mobilita-sempre-piu-sostenibile\"><strong>The passenger trucking sector is at the center of the ecological transition. What are the main strategies ANAV is promoting among its members to reduce environmental impact and promote increasingly sustainable mobility? <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Our vision is clear: the bus is not part of the problem, but the primary solution for sustainable mobility. To support this, we often cite scientific data: a study by the Polytechnic University of Milan certified that the bus is responsible for only 0.7 percent of the total greenhouse gas emissions produced by the transportation sector. This is an infinitesimal share if we think about the volume of people transported. ANAV&#8217;s strategy therefore rests on three pillars. First, fleet renewal; we call for firm resources to replace older vehicles with state-of-the-art buses. Second, we strongly support the principle of technology neutrality: it is necessary to focus on biofuels such as HVO and hybrid solutions. Finally, the real quantum leap will happen with modal shift: incentivizing the shift from private car to bus is the key. One study shows that a single bus can take up to 30-40 cars off the road, drastically reducing emissions per passenger and decongesting our cities. In fact, if we as a country could achieve the 10% modal shift target in the NRP we would have a 1.7% reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions in Italy.        <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-in-che-modo-l-associazione-sta-investendo-in-termini-di-formazione-dei-conducenti-e-adozione-di-nuove-tecnologie-a-bordo-dei-mezzi-per-garantire-i-massimi-standard-di-sicurezza-stradale\"><strong>How is the Association investing in terms of driver training and adoption of new in-vehicle technologies to ensure the highest road safety standards?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>For us, safety is a non-negotiable pre-requisite. Our member companies are investing heavily in the continuing education of drivers, who today are no longer just drivers, but operators of complex technological systems. A concrete example of our commitment is the &#8216;Safety 10 and Praise&#8217; campaign, through which we promote the culture of road safety and awareness of the importance of relying on professional and certified companies, especially in school transportation. In parallel, through the &#8216;Vaicolbus&#8217; initiative, we aim to enhance the value of the bus as the safest and most reliable means of travel. In summary, promoting the use of the bus is one of the best road safety measures, as it is 20 times safer than the car. Therefore, a 10% shift from private to public traffic would also result in a 7% reduction in traffic fatalities, amounting to more than 200 people each year.     <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-recentemente-si-e-parlato-di-un-importante-progetto-con-adr-riguardante-le-infrastrutture-aeroportuali-in-cosa-consiste-questa-collaborazione-e-quali-benefici-portera-alla-gestione-dei-flussi-dei-viaggiatori\"><strong>Recently there has been talk of an important project with ADR regarding airport infrastructure. What does this collaboration consist of and what benefits will it bring to the management of traveler flows? <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The collaboration with Aeroporti di Roma is a virtuous example of how logistics can be transformed into a service of excellence. The heart of the project is the creation of a new integrated Bus Hub at Fiumicino airport. This is an area entirely dedicated to scheduled buses and tourist services, designed to eliminate the fragmentation of flows. The benefit is immediate: travelers will be able to enjoy a &#8216;seamless&#8217; connection between the air terminal and the bus, reducing waiting times and improving the overall accessibility of the airport, which thus becomes a true European-level intermodal hub.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-entrando-nel-dettaglio-del-progetto-con-adr-cosa-prevedono-le-nuove-soluzioni-per-gli-stalli-dei-bus-turistici-in-termini-di-efficienza-logistica-e-accoglienza-dei-passeggeri-presso-gli-scali\"><strong>Going into the details of the project with ADR, what do the new solutions for the tour bus stands provide in terms of logistical efficiency and passenger reception at the airports?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>This is a project carried out entirely by Aeroporti di Roma, an investment that we as ANAV greet with great enthusiasm. Indeed, we have been clamoring for years for interventions of this kind; it was necessary to invest in modern infrastructure to finally close the gap that separated us from other major European airports. The planned solutions are state-of-the-art: we will have numbered and digitally monitored stalls, which will allow companies to plan arrivals and departures with extreme precision, eliminating the congestion of the past. But it&#8217;s not just logistics: we have focused on comfort, with protected waiting areas and optimized pedestrian flows to the gates. The goal, which we fully share with ADR, is to guarantee the bus passenger the same dignity and quality of service as those traveling by train or plane, transforming the bus station into a calling card of Italian hospitality.    <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-considerando-le-sfide-attuali-dal-rinnovo-delle-flotte-alla-digitalizzazione-dei-servizi-quale-messaggio-vuole-lanciare-agli-operatori-del-settore-per-coniugare-lo-sviluppo-economico-con-le-crescenti-esigenze-di-sostenibilita-sociale-e-ambientale\"><strong>Considering the current challenges, from fleet renewal to the digitization of services, what message do you want to send to industry players to combine economic development with the growing needs for social and environmental sustainability?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>My message is a call for courage and cohesion. We are facing a momentous transformation phase. I say to operators that sustainability should not be seen as a cost, but as our main competitive asset. To combine growth and ecology, however, we need balance: we cannot allow the environmental transition to become an unsustainable burden on corporate balance sheets. We will continue to dialogue with the government to obtain structural incentives, such as the three-year fund we have requested for fleet renewal.
