On September 7, Europe inaugurated its largest industrial CO2 capture facility<\/strong>. The plant, operated by Yara\u2014a Norwegian group and world leader in fertilizer production\u2014in Sluiskil, in the Netherlands, promises to capture up to 800,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year<\/strong>, transport it by ship to Norway, and bury it \u201cforever\u201d 2,600 meters below the seafloor of the North Sea.<\/p>\n\n
